We, the undersigned residents of Louisiana, respectfully urge the Louisiana Department of Health to expand access to vaccines and improve public communication about preventable diseases.

With the current pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak coupled with the Department’s policy of not promoting vaccines or supporting mass vaccination clinics, many Louisianans lack clear information and convenient access to protection.

We ask the Department to work with local partners to:

1. Make vaccines easier to access across all communities, and

2. Share timely, accurate information about outbreaks and vaccine options.

These steps will help keep Louisiana families safe, informed, and healthy.
