CALL TO ACTION

Vaccine-preventable diseases are making a comeback.

You can help put a stop to them by telling lawmakers to support evidence-based vaccine policy.

Tell our lawmakers to protect public health by filling out ALL SIX of the forms below. Thank you for adding your voice!

Conflating Public Health & Discrimination

House Bill 866 prohibits requirements of vaccines or other public health interventions approved for emergency use under the guise of not “discriminating” against those who choose not to vaccinate. If this bill passes, then schools, businesses, and healthcare facilities would be unable to protect students, employees, customers, and patients from preventable disease.

House Bill 908 prohibits schools from denying classroom participation to unvaccinated students. The only time this would occur is in the event of an outbreak of disease to which a student has not been vaccinated. Keeping an unvaccinated student at school during an outbreak is dangerous for that student and could lead to increased community spread of the disease.

Restricting Teen Access to Lifesaving Vaccines

House Bill 711 restricts access to lifesaving immunizations for teenagers from 15-17 years old by requiring parental consent. In particular this bill endangers teens who are in state custody, including those in foster care, or who are otherwise removed from their parents. All teens deserve access to lifesaving immunizations.

Banning COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements

House Bill 87 prohibits businesses, schools, and government entities from requiring COVID-19 vaccines or masks. This bill sets a dangerous precedent of outlawing a safe and effective public health practice that has saved many lives.

House Bill 46 prohibits schools from requiring COVID-19 vaccines. This would tie the hands of schools trying to protect vulnerable students, faculty & staff and is not necessary since exemptions are already available for those who want them.

Threatening Louisiana's Blood Supply with Vaccine Misinformation

House Bill 822 threatens Louisiana's already low blood supply by promoting the false notions about mRNA vaccines.
